Spotlight: Went close at Carlisle (6f, good) last June and won there (6f, soft) seven days later; went close at Redcar (6f, soft) in the autumn on his last two starts and he returns having had a wind op; respected for in-form yard.

Spotlight: 0-24 since completing nursery hat-trick on turf in September 2022; however, he's run well in defeat on AW the last twice; each-way claims.

Spotlight: Last season concluded with a rare below-par run but she won twice earlier in the campaign (6f, soft/good) and also ran well on her 2024 reappearance; could have a part to play on this year's comeback.

Spotlight: He's never won over a sprint trip but he twice went close over 6f on AW earlier this year and has shaped over 7f the last twice as though he may benefit from this drop back in distance; a possible.

Spotlight: Runner-up in three AW novices in the winter (7f/6f) and again ran well when close fourth of 17 on turf/handicap debut at Doncaster (5f, good) four weeks ago; open to further improvement and she's one to consider.

Spotlight: 11yo who has won over C&D and was on the scoresheet at Newcastle (6f, AW) in January; also ran well on his next three starts but his form has dipped the last twice and he needs to raise his game today.

Spotlight: Lightly raced 4yo who was well beaten more often than not last year but she showed spark on occasions and is on a competitive mark; perhaps first time up will be the time to catch her.

Spotlight: 0-12 during last season's 3yo campaign and well beaten at Musselburgh on recent reappearance; however, she suffered significant early interference last time and continues to drop down the weights; not discounted.

Spotlight: 10yo who is well treated on last year's best form and could improve for his reappearance seventh at Thirsk a fortnight ago; however, he was soundly beaten and his losing run goes back 15 races to August 2023.

Spotlight: Went close in Leicester novice last July for Charlie Hills but down the field in August in first two handicaps and he didn't show enough on last month's stable and seasonal debut on AW to have compelling claims today.

Spotlight: Mare who was in rude health towards the end of last season, with three wins (5.7f/6f, including on good/good to soft) from her final six starts; in the mix if reappearing in the same vein.

Spotlight: Below par on last three starts in January/February; however, perhaps a break will have helped and he's 1lb lower than when second of 24 in the Ayr Bronze Cup (6f, good) last September; not written off.

Spotlight: One win from his 13 starts, namely a Bath novice last October; on a competitive mark on his best handicap form but he didn't really threaten on his final three runs last year and needs a bigger performance on his comeback.

Spotlight: Won Bath maiden (5f, good) last September for Kevin Coleman on her fifth and latest start; sold for 14,000gns in October; her new trainer's horses are running well and she's not ruled out on handicap debut.
